empowering youth for a brighter future.

The E.R.I.C. Initiative Foundation is committed to helping young people build the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to succeed in school, the workplace, and everyday life. Through our engaging summer youth programs, teenagers gain valuable life skills while receiving hands-on training in basic computer technology, communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and personal development.

Our goal is to provide a positive, supportive environment where young people can discover their potential, develop practical skills, and prepare for a future filled with greater opportunity and possibility.

Building Skills That Last a Lifetime

Today’s young people need more than academic knowledge to successfully navigate adulthood. They also need practical skills, confidence, strong communication abilities, and exposure to technology and career opportunities.

The E.R.I.C. Initiative Foundation’s youth programs are designed to give teenagers meaningful experiences that help prepare them for the real world. Through interactive activities, workshops, mentoring, and hands-on learning, participants are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, set goals, and take greater responsibility for their futures.

What Participants Learn

Our summer programs introduce young people to a variety of practical and personal development skills, including:

  • Basic Computer Skills – Learning how to confidently use computers, common software applications, email, internet tools, and other digital resources.
  • Communication Skills – Developing stronger verbal and written communication skills for school, work, and everyday life.
  • Leadership Development – Encouraging young people to recognize their strengths, take initiative, and become positive leaders in their communities.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration – Learning how to work effectively with others, contribute ideas, solve problems, and accomplish shared goals.
  • Life Skills – Building practical skills that help young people become more independent, responsible, and prepared for adulthood.
  • Goal Setting – Helping participants identify personal, educational, and career goals and understand the steps needed to achieve them.
  • Career Readiness – Introducing young people to workplace expectations, professionalism, career possibilities, and skills that can help prepare them for future employment.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking – Teaching participants how to evaluate situations, make informed decisions, and approach challenges with confidence.

Learning Through Experience

We believe some of the most powerful learning happens when young people are given an opportunity to participate, practice, create, and explore.

Our programs combine instruction with hands-on activities that encourage participants to apply what they learn in real-world situations. Whether they are completing a computer-based project, participating in a group activity, practicing communication skills, or discussing future career goals, students are actively involved in their own development.

Creating Confidence and Opportunity

For many young people, discovering what they are capable of can be transformational.

The E.R.I.C. Initiative Foundation works to create an environment where teenagers feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to try new things. Our programs help participants develop confidence in their abilities while exposing them to skills, resources, mentors, and opportunities that can broaden their vision for the future.

We want every young person who participates in our programs to leave knowing that their ideas matter, their goals are possible, and they have the ability to create positive change in their own lives and communities.

Who Can Participate?

Our youth programs are designed primarily for teenagers who are interested in learning new skills, meeting other young people, exploring future opportunities, and preparing for the next stage of their education or career journey.

Program eligibility, dates, locations, and enrollment requirements may vary by session.
